Treyburn
Custom homes, gently rolling hills, and and a beautiful river make up one of Durham's largest and versatile neighborhoods, Treyburn. There are wooded lots, vistas, and Little River that cuts through the middle of the neighborhood. Some residents live on or near the river banks, while others are directly adjacent to the Triangle Land Conservancy Nature Preserve. There is a large array of home-plans, architectural styles, and home-sizes. The whole community can be broken into 4 separate neighborhood areas: Treyburn Forest, Riverwalk, Treyburn Point, and Greenview Place. Each section has different types of homes at vastly different price ranges. Though the neighborhood as a whole can be divided by areas, there is a strong sense of community. Residents can enjoy the Treyburn Country Club with its golf course, swim and tennis facilities. There are over 1,600 acres of permanently preserved woodlands that surround the community that residents can explore. Eno River State Park, Duke Forest, and Falls Lake are also not far from the neighborhood should residents want to enjoy other recreational activities such as hiking, camping, or kayaking. There is an elementary school and middle school right in the neighborhood, and shops, restaurants, and entertainment close by.
