Glen Laurel
Glen Laurel is a golf course community located in Clayton. Construction began in the late 1980s, though some homes have been built throughout the early to mid 2000s and 2010s as well. It nearly surrounds the Neuse Golf Club, and many of the older homes may feature golf course views. With so much development over the years, there is a wide array of different exteriors and floorplans. There are ranches, two-story craftsman or colonials, basement homes, and others that feature brick or stone facades.
The neighborhood was built along rolling hills, which has created beautiful walking trails and scenery. Glen Laurel residents can join the community pool or visit several tennis courts. The Neuse Golf Club is one of the most popular in the Triangle as it features a driving range, clubhouse, and pro-shop. The Neuse River is also nearby where residents can hike, kayak, or walk along the Capital Area Greenway.
